Join us Sunday, September 7th for an evening of inspiration as we celebrate young changemakers from Colorado and around the globe who have dared to act – making a difference in others’ lives in powerful ways through amaxa’s 9 global partner organizations.
Our inaugural event is an opportunity to honor their achievements, big and small, that weave into something larger: a vibrant tapestry of impact.
About Ámaxa
Founded by Cherry Creek High School graduate Lauren McMillen, ámaxa is a Denver-based nonprofit that has reached high school students in more than 26 countries.
Mission
Ámaxa’s mission is to enable anyone to make the difference they want to. Ámaxa means vehicle in Greek: we aim to be a vehicle for impact for thousands across the globe.
Our High School Program
Our first program is designed for high school students. We match each student with one of our nonprofit partners- working in areas like education, mental health, refugee support, and more- a small team of peers, and a trained coach. Over three months, they meet weekly over Zoom and work together on a project. Our students have created educational platforms for students in Palestine, planted trees across three countries, raised funds for medical aid in Ukraine, paid tuition for Liberian students, and more.

The night will include a three course meal, live music, a silent auction, and some exciting announcements. Drinks will be available for purchase at a discounted price thanks to our gracious host, Cattivella Denver.
Ámaxa will also be sharing their bold vision for what comes next, including the launch of our Colorado student network, and inviting all those present to dare to think bigger about what we can accomplish, even in trying times.
Tickets & Sponsorship
We kindly ask for a donation of $100 for each guest who will RSVP to attend.
If you are interested in catalyzing our impact on a greater scale through larger donations or corporate sponsorship, we are eager to make your experience a truly unforgettable one.
